Hello!I got already so many request to do tutorial on drawing people that I couldn't ignore it longer ^^
Drawing human figure is such a broad subject so I think I will be able just to touch a little the subject in couple of short tutorials. I decided to start with head of course before I go to body.
Only after that I can go to explaining how to light your character.
This one is my personal approach. I am not saying it's the only one or the best. It's just what I do in my personal work. It is the easiest for me to understand the complicated subject that is portrait and anatomy in general.
Hope some of you find it useful.

Reminds me of Andrew Loomis's "Drawing the Head and Hands". Couldn't recommend it enough for self-taught artists.

Yes it's a great source of knowledge. A lot of important basics. Many artists use it to understand anatomy. Since it's a book it's very comprehensive and I would totally recommend it.

Yeah I've shared it because I think self taught artists develop their own methods that can be in some way different than official methods. I know official methods and I just pick and choose what I like the most. And that way it's personal like custom made program
