Description
The mini movie starts when Ash and his friends brought their Pokemon to the big city in Johto. After they left and leave their Pokemon behind, Ash's Pikachu saw the Pichu brothers, who brought their telescope. Pikachu looks through the telescope and saw a planet. Then he saw a girl Sylveon and she waves at him. Wishing that they want to meet the Sylveon, Pikachu and the two Pichu built a spaceship made out of cardboard boxes and with some imagination, they blasted off to outer space. Once they got to space, Pikachu told the two Pichu that space has no day or night and it has zero gravity, which causes him and the two Pichu to float in mid air.

Afterwards, the two Pichu saw something through the window. They saw a Space Shuttle and saw a real astronaut. Pikachu introduce the two Pichu to his friend, Kenneth S. Reightler, Jr., who told them three Pokemon about NASA and the moon. Then, after flying pass silly things in space, the Pichu saw a smiling moon and Pikachu and the Pichu saw hamster Bijou, with her ribbons as a flag, on the moon. Once she's on the spaceship, Bijou told Pikachu and the Pichu that she rode a cow who jumped over the moon, but she has to get off, because she dropped one of her ribbons, which was covered with moon dust. Upon this, Pikachu and the two Pichu saw the cow that Bijou rode on. After flying pass the sun, they saw Hamtaro, who rode his space scooter and gets aboard the spaceship.

Pretty soon, everyone saw the planet and were beamed to the place. There, they saw the Sylveon, whose name is Mimi. She shows her new friends around her planet, her dancing, toy robot, and a plant called the tickle tree, which tickles you every time you go near it. Soon, when Pikachu and his friends has to leave, but they promise they will come back and visit. So, he decides to let Hamtaro and Bijou stay and play with Mimi. Once they got back to earth, Pikachu waves goodbye to the two Pichu as they left. Before long, Ash, Misty and Brock arrive and lead the Pokémon into a room full of food. Ash tells Pikachu it has been a full year since they met in Pallet Town, and this party is to celebrate that. Overjoyed at this celebration, Pikachu leaps into Ash's arms in a big hug. The Pokémon start eating, and Ash allows Pikachu to wear his hat for the night. The narrator concludes the short by noting that Ash, Mimi, and the Pichu Brothers have something in common: neither will ever forget the day they first met Pikachu.
