This picture is not about my romantic relationship, but more about the relationship I have with some of my friends. Seems like everything's breaking apart..
I really need critique on my portraits. Please help me

first, let me respond to your question/comments. i'm sorry that your relationship is like that with some of your friends. i know how you feel, and i know that no one should have to feel that way.
a shorter critique, because i have to study for a bunch of exams:
the image of someone clutching their head is a very good representation of the question 'what if?'. therefore, i also like the title. i also like the slight shadow; i think it sort of reflects what you were saying about friends: they might be right next to you, but they're not interacting, talking with you. the upside-down picture... it's obvious that is has been rotated, of course, because the necklace (dog tags? i can't see) and septum ring are not upside down. i think that if the picture had actually been taken upside down, it would have been a better show of the topsy-turvyness of the friend-relationship thing. i also like how the picture is faded... they seem to be fading out of your life, doesn't it? and we can't see the face... that's also an interesting feature. overall, a very nice picture. i think i'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.

I guess that's just life. times change and so do people - even though I'd rather not have a change.
you're probably right about how the picture is taken..but I guess it would have been too difficult to take it upside down.

well, if things didn't change, it wouldn't be life.
yeah, if you have a sofa or, even better, an ottoman, you can lie on it and tip your head back and that's a pretty easy upside-down photo. it's quite fun as well.
