Heh. Centuries ago I promised a portrait. I finally sat down to it - I aimed at a child vampire, inspired by the character of Claudia from the Interview with a Vampire and also by what the model has written in her info about not wanting to age...

Unfortunately, she came out older than I intended :/ Eh, maybe next time...

Watercolours. My 4th ever try with them > .< Am not very satisfied...

Well, I for one am impressed with this - your 4th attempt ever, and such gorgeous facial detail! She has a very knowing innocence about her eyes and lips - I can very much see the Claudia reference.

For the next time (since it says you're looking for critique...) I'd say the hair is the only thing needing working on - it needs some more depth and tonal differences - but otherwise, this is a beautiful image.

Missed you. Have had a craaaaazy few months.

Yes, I sort of made the hair into one black spot, which is not typical of me, since I ussually do shaded hair. I guess here it was prompted by the fact that it looked exactly like a black spot on the photo and I kinda liked the effect there. I'm not sure about the painting, though, there are moments when I like it like that, and moments when I think what you have written, that it kinda needs more 3Dness. Ah, well. I'll keep experimenting with hair in my future paintings. Thanks for the comment, Hun! Missed you too. I'm having a crazy year :/

She doesn't look particularly childlike, but I don't think that detracts in any way from the image, to be honest. The eyes have come out beautifully, and the lips are awesome too. I like the simplicity of the background, and the red spots on the chest and stomach act as a great counterpoint to the serene face.

This one is quite different than most of your work, but very striking. You are so versatile. I like the starkness of the piece, the limited palette for dramatic effect. She's quite beautiful, with a look of poignant contemplation.

Dziekuje bardzo akwarele sa jednym z bardziej wymagajacych mediow... trzeba do nich szczegolowego planowania i cierpliwosci. Cierpliwosc moze i mam, z planowaniem znaaacznie gorzej. Za to do kompa jestem antytalencie zupelne :/
