It had happened. After days of waiting and hours of pain, Kiara and Kovu's first cub was born. It was a little male newborn. Kiara quickly began to lick the cub. At one point she stopped just to announce it. "Kovuuu, the cub's here!" The king heard it and quickly ran, heading to where Kiara was. "Oh wow..." he said, looking at the newborn. "What is it? A male or female?" He asked. "It's a male!" She responded. "Oh! What a cute little prince. He looks like in the future he'll be a great king. Also, what's his name?" He asked. "I've been thinking of Mapafu." "That sounds like a great name for him!"
The king and queen both stayed near eachother, admiring the first cub. Little Mapafu, who would grow up to be a great king.
