Description So this is stupid, but I recently learned that oxalis and clover are two different plants?... The Chinese knot's native name is oxalis knot, although it's been translated as clover knot. Anyways.

I used Chinese knotting cords, called "玉线", or "yuxian". It's braided, instead of twisted, which allows you to make intricate Chinese knots.
