Unlike Syndrome and Mr. Incredible, where I could only relate to the "sick, twisted little fanboy" who is basically an otaku version of Tony Stark with a Trollz hairdo, I could relate to both Elastigirl and Evelyn. As someone who has attended a girl's high school AND a woman's college, I have seen both the toxic and the true ideals versions of feminism in action; I have felt cynicism in talking about the obvious dichotomy AGAINST women in the workplace, in politics, and in society at large, even when I'm talking with my own family sometimes. But I remember my sisters at my alma maters and that they are being exposed to the same ideas, prejudices and points for growth as I was... and I feel hope again.
