There was some very nice stories there though. Very emotional. Thanks again. It seems hard at times to find good fics, which is a shame considering I will sometimes need to read other stories and look at art to help inspire chapters of my own fanfictions. It helps get over writer's block like you wouldn't believe.

Well, if you're interested, I have my own YGO one that I just started. It's basically a retelling of the Thief King's Bakura's life after becoming part of the Millennium Ring. A sort of "What if he had realized Zork was using him?" sort of thing, and how it would have possibly changed how he interacted with those around him.

Well, I wouldn't say that he's that nice. I will pretty much portray Akefia as good, but still a bit of a bastard. He'd only like be that to people who deserve it. He treats Ryou very well though. If anything, think of Season 0 Yami Yugi. I think that could be the closest comparison I could make.

I plan to start soon. It's been getting pushed back further and further on the list of things to do with the requests I've been getting lately.
In the anime, the ka was the spirit monsters they fought with, like Diabound. In actually Egyptian mythology, it was the second soul in a person that stayed with it's deceased body after a person had died and was supposed to protect it from harm for the rest of eternity.

According to the anime and manga, yes. But only certain people could summon them. The rest of them simply had their ka resting inside of them while the person couldn't call them out. Mostly untrained commoners and so forth, for example.

It never goes into it in the show, only stating the power of his 'hate' made him strong. What I put in the story though is the spirits of the dead talked to him and walked him through it. I figured as they were now dead, they'd have a better understanding of such things and would have helped him figure out how to do it.
