filter, eh? I found a pic online and w/ my photo editing program I can tell it to make the pic look like it was oil painted and then I copied the pawprints on there from a different image

no there's this feature on Photoshop. They're called filters. It allows you to modify a pic by changing textures and stuff. U used a filter to make it look all oil painty! lol
