aahw thanks haha i still have an old twilight drawing but i don't really have the tools for good pencil sketches plus i don't really have the patience (for details like these) hahaΒ

But really, you can make it as detailed as you'd like. Heck, your digital and watercolour paintings are nothing short of detailed! But we all have preferences

Hello there! I like the overall form of the drawing you have here, it closely resembles that of the show. I also like your attempt to copy Huusii's hatching of the hair, I feel that you got, to some extent, close.
What could've gone better in this piece is one, the paper you used. It appears that you weren't careful and made the paper dirty with your smudging. Whatever the reason, the paper looks unclean, you might want to keep your hands away from the paper to prevent smudging. Also, you might want to study references more closely, for the way AJ's head connects to the rest of the body seems awkward. Also, I can see some of your guidelines, maybe you should try drawing lighter or erase your guidelines better, or possibly use a different coloured pencil ( light one like sky blue or yellow) to do your guidelines, so it doesn't look apparent. In terms of shading, I feel that the way you shaded the figure is quite dull, since you only used a very limited value range, mostly staying in the middle of it. This gives your subject a flat view. In that sense, I suggest you use darker shades on the darkest parts, don't draw anything on the whitest whites, and so on for the grays.Β

thanks for the critique. i bought a diffrent kind of paper so that wont be a problem anymore. and i will use the rest of your tips on the drawings i'll make in the futur. so for now thanks again. :3

no,they are completely different. his is digital and in a 'photobook' mine is traditional and on a piece of paper that became dirty. so it is the same pony but not the same art.

no if you take a look at the traditional art of huussii you wil see that the ways of shading and drawing are a little simular. plus i had the drawing happy hour open wile i was drawing aj.
