Curious, the original design of Blackwall was actually a dwarf, which would have made dwarves romance possible, yet they turned him into a human. Not that I dislike the human Blackwall, but is a dwarves lover too much to ask for?

Well, remember that back in the day having gold jewelery was a sign of wealth. Not to mention if you died the people dealing with your burial could take said jewelry and use it to pay for the burial. That's why peeps would get gold teeth during the wild wild west.
So Varric having gold nipple rings kinda makes sense to me....hell....he might have piercings in *ahem*other places if you get my drift....but I'd think that those might have been acquired while drunk...and under the influence of Isabella.

Varric groaned, his head pounding as he rolled over in his bed to reach for the jug of water by his bedside. The previous night was a mere blur with flashes of blue from Rivaini's head band, glinting of gold and ale...LOTS of ale. Varric grumbled to himself as he padded naked across his room to the privy. Groaning he leaned to piss and his brow furrowed at the slight ache in his dick.
Frowning he finished and with himself in hand he turned his penis around to be greeted with a cheerily glinting gold bar just under the head on the underside of his shaft.
"Andraste's flaming ass...what the fuck?" He shook his head "Damn you Isabela, what did you talk me into last night?" sighing he reached to take the bar out but then hesitated. He'd already taken the leap, why not let it heal up and see how it turned out? He ran a hand over his chest, fingers lightly touching the golden rings through his nipples.
