What to do for a ncc number?
Maybe NCC-PL73?....You can't place it too high or too low, to avoid conflict with others that may be in the 10xx-
21xx range. PL meaning Patrol-Local {or Patrol-Light}, which is what her namesake[s] did in WWII, since neither
could carry many torpedoes, say six maximum? IIUC, the 'T' in the original wet navy boats stood for torpedo.

Reminds me of the USS BonHomme Richard The Frigater from my Star Trek RPG...It was decommissioned and used for training Engineering cadets,so when we got her,she had most of the weapon systems of a heavy cruiser haphazardly installed.
