Before the time of the Pyramids, there was a man, the last true Akkadian, Mathys, the Scorpion King. the great conqueror that killed the tyrant Memnon in combat and lead a revolt to free the people from the opression of Memnon and his armies, however, the Scorpíon King too was poisoned by power, and he too attempted to conquer an empire for himself, he conquered bast swaths of land that were once under Memnon, but during his reconquedt of Ehypt, Mathyus was defeated and his armies were forced to retreat to the desert, where slowly they were consumed by the sands of the Sahara. In an act of desperation Mathyus woved to give his sould to Anubis in exchange of power to defeat his enemies, Anubis awnsered, however after destroying Theves, Anubis claimed his soul and banished the Scorpion King to the Underworld
