Description For a long time I've noticed that many professional wrestlers have gimmicks and personalities that would make for great superheroes or even RPG-characters. The wrestler featured here is "Häijy" (=Mean) Heimo Ukonselkä who works for the promotion Fight Club Finland, which puts up truly impressive shows multiple times a year. Heimo's persona is that of a Finnish wild-man from Lapland, which can be converted into an RPG entirely unaltered, as his outfit and mannerisms would be perfect in a movie about ancient barbarians.

Heimo looks pretty fierce, he definitely calls to mind echoes of earlier times. I'd rather have him on my side of the fight if possible.

Heimo is an awesome wrestler. Currently he's made a heel-turn, which honestly was difficult to accept because Heimo is so likeable in all his fierceness. He's even shaved his head to look more demonic with a red skull.

All the big tough heroes have to do a heel phase anymore. I don't know why, the fans don't really seem to warm to it.

It depends so much on the individual wrestler and his/her opponents, whether a heel/face-turn works at all. Some wrestlers can be just as effective in both roles, while a select few can be both face and heel without changing anything at all about their character, such as Ric Flair and the Rock. I've been watching FCF'c events for only a few short years and during that time I've seen a few well-executed turns, where the heel-turns of Heimo and another face called Stark Adder are both surprising and even hurtful, because the two of them were very rough-around-the-edges champions of the common man.

Well, wait a couple more years and he'll come back around.

Very Norse Mythology!

Much of Heimo's back-story and mannerisms is inspired by old Finnish paganism, which has many similarities to Norse culture.
