A great villain to the very last. And even as she was mutating, she cared more that "Rose" didn't remember Pink Diamond than anything else.
It's hard for a gem to break out of the way Homeworld has taught them to think from the moment they pop out of their holes. Though Jasper never showed a 'good side,' it's hard to hate her because it's hard for a gem to notbe Jasper, and she was as broken in her own way as Lapis.
Then the next episode we find out she's considered a war hero, and the Ruby squad genuinely loves her, too.
Definitely more to our favorite space cheeto than just Homeworld's battering ram, but she'd never be able to stop seeing through the lens Homeworld taught her to see through long enough for it to amount to doing anything differently.
Wonder what she'd think if she knew it's not Earth but her beloved Diamonds who caused the corruption, and that they didn't bother waiting until their own people were away. (...Actually, knowing her, she'd think it's their fault for failing to hold Earth and not retreating in time.)
