Enlightenment (large one)- term for the philosophical movement of the 18th century emphasizing reason, analytical thinking, and logic over rules and blind faith.
Romanticism (skinny kid)- early 19th century philosophical movement emphasizing spiritualism, intuition, and emotion over logic and reason.

During the past school year we studied both movements in our classes, and my friend Maggie wrote up a hilarious study of their differences in though processes as a conversation between the physical embodiments of the two. It's like The Odd Couple, for literary geeks.
