A rather quick sketch of Emily in oil pastel.This is not an example of my best work, and I intend to do another of her.
I thought it was good until I did the background, hence I am now calling it an 'impression,' lol.

I guess my vision of art and what it should be doesn't follow any sort of strict rules, Kate. But for me, I think "An Impression of Emily" is really fine and I'm thoroughly pleased and happy with your creation.
