Mantis religiosa.First mantis for me this year, and then I even found two on one morning.

I find at least a handful of them every summer but it's still something special, they are among the coolest insects we have here. Good luck on finding one!

Don't know if there are any in Denmark at all, even in Germany I think they are mostly found in the south or other climatically favourable regions.

I once saw a laundry list of fungus and other noseeums that can cause insects problems. Its a wonder they don't spend their entire lives cleaning!
