To be honest i've never seen the info where it would said that Al doesn't like dogs (and also the opinion that he was killed by dogs either). The Information about the way how he died isn't revealed for sure yet, so i don't think that this is a true. So i'm gonna make him as a dog as well.

I think most people are pulling that information from the Hazbin Hotel wiki, but I'm pretty sure Vivziepop said that not everything there is correct and that people shouldn't assume everything on there is canon.

Year, I suppose. I knew it, so I dont think that we should trust some stuff and facts that most people believe they are canon. The show has only pilot so there cant be everything 100% true/canon . And yes, you're absolutely right.
