Bit of a latenight doodle that turned into a lil bit more, whoops. In this piece I wanted to experiment about, looking at a lot of Art Adams stuff and in general just having a good time! Rendering practice too. The hair was a lot of fun to play around with as well as the clouds! Sorry for the slightly not-so-clean pencils, a lot of the ghost lines are originally red prismacolor pencils, but hey maybe someone finds that interesting to look at!Make sure to check me out on:

When I first saw this, I was tempted to color it 'cause I love it. But I know what you mean when you hesitate to color. I had to stop myself from taking it on. Coloring is an art in itself and I have not really developed my skills that much for coloring. What I mean is I can't do it intuitively. I find it confusing. Like the light on the face from one direction and the body the opposite. Then somebody tells me.
But with digital I can keep at it and at it 'til I think it's right. It would take days. You get tired of looking at the same project that long. I can't do a 3d conversion until the flat image is perfect. Any mistake in the flat image is a much bigger pain to fix in 3D
(because both eyes have to match right down to the pixels or there is a flashing effect.) By the way, I finished your other Wonder woman in 3D. Hope you like it and can see the effects! Thank-you for the privilege, Marc. It's yours

What I tried to really focus on was first establishing some sort of shape, and once I had that I took a step back and said, okay, I'm going to just sit down and really think about the lines I throw down. It was a very enlightening moment! Perhaps that helps next time you sit down to draw hair yourself!
