I offered to colour this for my friend (HIS line art btw) and my first attempt was less than stellar. With the help of some reference from the great Alphonse Mucha himself though, I produced this and DAMN I'm proud of it.Tell me what you think guys, and if you REALLY want, I'll put up the god awful first draft.

Thank you so much! Mucha is also one of my favorite artists, I love his work and I figured, 'this piece has some art nouveau elements to it, lemme take reference from the guy who pioneered it'. I admit, its easier to colour when you have a great piece of lineart. I cant colour for beans with my own works cause the lines suck

Well, it's his design and the original was a sketch. I suppose that it was meant to be sort of evil, so I guess maybe a theme along those lines might be a safe bet? If you're unsure, I can ask him for you, if you'd like.

Alright, I sent him a note. Here's his response.
about the way to color, this [link] shows where it is darker and where it's brighter; and about the colors, I think a darkish red would be perfect. The blade shall be darker than the snath. That part in the middle of the snath with many lines across it can be colored with a bright brown
I hope it helps. He said he's willing to help out in any way if needed, so don't be afraid to ask me to pass along a few questions, if you have them.
