I'm not quite sure if this is a 'fair' or even 'good' critique, since I don't have the technical skill needed to comment on the quality of the drawing (and it's also just my interpretation of the piece), so I will just post is as a comment.
What is man but the combination of natural, divine and animalistic? The animal side can and will often rob us of our ability to be human, as we can see with the snail head and the insect legs. Why is that? Well, the natural/animal way of reacting is the one that takes no effort, as it works instantly, based on instinct - simple responses to simple stimulus, while the human reactions requires thought. Those animal instincts keep us rooted to the ground, as your bottom half shows, but there is also hope - the tree on the left clearly shows that metamorphosis is possible when the roots are taken away.

You're very welcome Marc! Things are going well. I'm waiting for spring to arrive in Vermont. It's been so cold and we still have snow on the ground!

The snow here is disappearing, but we are still around 0 degrees Celsius.

I hope so too, I could do without winter all together, but it's showing promising signs of being over. We had our first chipmunk sighting today which means they are out of hibernation, a good sign of spring.

That's awesome. The chipmunks here just run whenever they see people - still very cute!
