Description

Lineart made with black pigma micron 005. I did it very quick, I took me just fev hours and picture was finished in one day (not like usually, when It would took few days). It made me happy, cause I finished picture before It started getting on my nerves XD

She's not concrete OC, just a random character. She happen to has a name just because I need to distinguish my pictures, which is kinda hard, when files has names like "girl","another girl", "and another one xP" etc. XD It's a good practice I think, cause I don't give them first better name, but after thinking about their probable personality a suitable one, in my opinion. It helps give a names for normal OCs in future.

Aw, anyway, my health & condition sucks lately =3=. It's not like I'm ill, but I suffer a bunch of little, but annoying affections, like tendon in leg, which for no reason started to hurt, or sudden sleppiness...lol, I fell like old hag. Hey, I'm not that old, I'm just turning 20 this friday D:< I'm supposed to be lively person XP
End of grumble.

Ooh, nice texture on the hair and ruffles! It looks so real. And her dress looks awesome! That would be so hot to have in my wardrobe. I really like the way it catches the light. Did you have a certain material in mind when you were drawing it?

And you're just turning twenty? I hope I'm that skilled at that age, though I highly doubt I'll improve that much in two years.

To be frank, I never have anything centraing in mind, when I drawing, except controling how smooth each line is xD If lineart is polishied enough I'm satisfied...everything else is left as it is (maybe that's why my characters are always kinda emotionless xDD and composition is similar)

It's nice to hear, that you like her dress I always thought that my taste in designing them is kinda weird XD

Um, yes...but i think it's not just it's already xDD there are plenty of younger than me, and more talended...uh, sometimes I'm jealous of younger generation.
Well, as for your improving I think you have the best time for it. I heard It's hard to improve, when you older than 25...There are a lot people, whose level freezed, and it began nearly impossible to improve... Lol, seems like a want to scare you XD to be frank I don't believe in it, of course, that can be possible, but with only those, who don't analyse their works...I mean, when you elaborate this consciousness of mistakes you doing while work, and in the same time gain knowledge of different techniques, human anathomy and tricks, it's very easy to avoid those mistakes. It's observer's sense which evolve naturally during work, so I encourage to try different techniques like anime shading, or painting on one layer, cg, watercolour, screentones, different layer styles...as for layers I'll tell you that tutorials about usage of graphic programs are more useful than "how to color hairs", cause the latter you can know from obserwation anyway, but the tips give you more freedom and makes work much easier.

Yeah, I agree with what you're saying. I'm trying to go digital with Photoshop CS3, but it hasn't arrived at my house yet. Trying different mediums can help you grow as an artist; it's not good to just learn one style.

I did find a tutorial that looks well-made and informative. It's the Coloring Technique by *yuni . Do you think it's good? I really don't know, since I've never used Photoshop before.

And I get jealous of some younger deviants, also. I've seen thirteen year olds on this site that draw way better than me. But what can I do, except to improve?
