Thats the actual pic?, no manipulating of any kind?

When you talk about this being "the actual pic" and you think it's "without any manipulations of any kind", you might be misleading yourself. This scene here cannot be photographed as you see it with your eyes. The photographer can use graduated filters, either neutral density or warm toned, and a high-saturation slide film, etc. etc. Many deviantArt people think of "manipulation" as actually altering the image on the computer, but a lot more control goes on even in the taking of the picture. It's photography!

I kinda know that, silly me

What I was (badly) trying to say, its that the scenario that you capture with your camera existed in real life, even tough it may not exactly the same, beacuase all of the reasons you stated above.

And yes photomanipulating can be done w/o any digital media involved (Ive actually done it myself), but at first glance it kinda looks like you added some 3D stuff in there.

Anyway, whatever you did the results are incredible, kudos

It makes me want to go there. The colors are out of this world, with the sky ablaze and the sea on fire.

a good contrast with the colour of the water and rocks, black & shining. the sun creates a nice crown beyond the mountains too

Hey Deviant...
Your awesome, and it's been recognised, I'm =yuppy64 , and I run a project over at =Deviant-Underground to promote underappreciated artists, and share their art with our watchers, each day three pieces are featured in the club journal, and the same journal posted to all the daily members, who post the same journal in their journals, each saturday the 5 favourite deviations from that week are posted again, and that journal sent to a different list of members, then those deviations are put into a poll, and by the next week, the deviation with the most votes is submitted to the clubs gallery with comments disabled and a link to the orignal. so eventually, when the project gets bigger, then that should have a huge effect on the featured deviations comments and favourites...

Anyway, today your piece was featured at [link]
Enjoy the little bit of attention.

Ways you can help out...
Suggest a deviation to be featured (not yours and less then 15 favourites) by noting =yuppy64 with the link.
