I've Favored a lot of these sketches for a number of reasons. 1: They're very well done. 2:I like the story line of each one. 3: The characters intrigue me to no end. I've always liked animation that has a story within a story, giving us some insight to the characters themselves.
Lila's story (here) got me hooked, and now you've hooked me with Olga's story.

I'd like to try my hand at coloring these and maybe a few more.

All in all, I must say, Well Done!

I never liked the 'quote-unquote' logic behind Olga going to Alaska, but this picture is cute.

You've got a knack for drawing Olga with children. This is an awesome pic.

Oh, she´s a generic character - certainly one of the kids Olga was teaching there at Alaska( I shold care a bit more into create some characters like these, but I have so many other things to do - besides, I know myself... most likely, I´d create a vast background for those characters, and so the story wold grow... and grow... and GROW beyond it could be feasable!

Heh, I guess I´m a creativity addict^^

Alaska, actually - as Olga went to teaching there( out of ALL places! )...

There´s two episode references about her teaching on Alaska:
- "Student teacher"( Olga as a trainee teacher on PS 118 )
- "Helga on the couch"( through Helga´s memories )

The other few episodes( pity, she´s such a nice character )she appeared just mentioned that she was on College, still... in fact, the storyline seemed a bit loose about it - so, I never could knew if she was back either form College( so she was still a student )or from Alaska( so she was a graduated/licensed teacher )on that "Big sis" episode - I rather assume the latter, as much I drew some other "Alaskan" fanarts about her, when she was some years older.

well, the creators never intended Olga being a "active" character
She was created only to underline Helga's inferiority complex

The few occasions on which Olga played a active role in the story, were rather aimed at Helga's character development

Curiously enough, though,

ALL the characters on HA! had some "spotlight" episode though( I could tell many examples ), when they played some main role - so, though some of them may be underused, certainly Crig and the creative staff on HA! gave them attention...

I think that I read Craig mention( on a chat )that he´d like to showcase Olga more on "The Patakis" - what a pity it never could be...

Speaking on that,

That´s a real pity and shame, too, as HA! cartoon was cancelled, but, what about HA! comics?
The books?

Should those be cancelled too... ?
I´d perfectly would see them( if continued )as a nice follow-up for the former series, though I´m aware of all the copyright issues that certainly would prevent that( what a shame, indeed ).

However,
Though it´s a sore fact that HA!( as a whole: cartoon, comics and books )was cancelled almost TEN( eight, actually )years ago, there´s still a running fanbase that either still enjoy the cartoon, miss it and out of that, PRODUCE fanworks, regardless whatever Nick does to put HA! into oblivion...

to them, I say!

yes, I would love to see "The Patakis"

Nickelodeon didn't want to broadcast it, because it "wasn't happy enough" (which is the same reason why Invader ZIM got canceled)
They wanted to broadcast it on MTV (a sister network of Nick.), but they refused it since the concept was too similar to Daria (which is actually a good show - at least the first seasons)

Nick is one of thous companies that tends to terminate the entire franchise after the series is canceled (unlike Cartoon Network which tends to produce comics long after the tv series ends - for example Dexter)
