Aww. I saw that on the ANB page and I must say, it nearly melted my heart the moment I saw it. It's so wonderful to see a teacher act like a motherly figure to a crying child, instead of just brushing her off...I have the same relationship with my aide, Brad Murphey. He's like a father to me...*sighs happily*

There´s a thing that I find strange, concerning to teachers on American cartoons( and, also, concerning to real actual people and their recollections about their childhood teachers, which is WAY worse, and maybe are the origin of that ):
Mainly, teachers are portrayed like some at least to can say, annoying types( if not, really abusive, and uncaring ); people like Mr. Wilter( Chalkzone ), that "voice" on the Peanuts( "Wah-wahwahwawah?" ), the teacher on "Calvin"... so many of them indeed - rare are the ones who are portrayed on a more positive way, and worse enough, most of my friends online told me about awful things their past teachers used to do; though just like any of you do, I had a share of those, but, strangely, I can´t remember their names, and even their faces are blurred - instead of the ones whom I loved; from some of those that, sadly, aren´t still with us anymore, I´d sincerly wish to have them again; I also believe that a teacher is, os is supposed to be for a child, from outside her family circle, to be the first adult that could earn, and deserve their confidence and trust - a childlren´s first adult friend indeed, along with to be their teacher.
But I´m glad you have one.

She should have name... !
Though she appeared just sometiems as a side character( as a classroom mate in "Keen on Keane", or walking on "Substitute creature" ), I kinda "adopted" her as another character( kinda close to Robin, too ), and as Miss Keane´s adoptive daughter on that XIXth century version for Townsville( though I had the insight for that before I ever knew about "West´n Pieces" )...
