Yes I've often wondered about that when it comes to macro shots, since you say it was a surprise...I wondered if most people's captures are by 'chance', or if they can actually see this tiny stuff in the first place. Then I think, if they can see it, how great their eye sight must be. 
I LOVE textures though, and this is fantastic! Would be nice to see more, with ants and/or other insects in the scene too if possible. (it's very exciting! )

Usually when I take macro shots I don't realize about some details because the viewfinder size doesn't allow me to view them, they appear when I'm editing the pictures, although in fact it's almost a bit about imagination, don't you think?

I do see an old man in the bokeh to the right! He's facing sideways.

I didn't realized about that "face". The one I see is that piece of bark next to the mushroom, right in the center of the frame

The bokeh one is a bit creepy.. It's a side profile of an older gentleman facing the mushrooms, or even a skeleton with downward-facing yellow-bokeh nose (this chap takes up almost a third of the image). His arm is coming into focus. . . Let me know if you see him? lol, or if I'm just losing it
