What a series of events! You left us on a cliffhanger and only time can tell what we'll happen. I mean, you could have Ness die as a plot point (Where he is either brought back by some mystical force/object, or stays dead; before being brought back to life [If you decide to] he can become a ghost), or you could have him saved (If he's saved, the there are tons of possibilities). Personally, I think Frank poisoned all of his knives (So even if he is saved, he'll be in a critical state or he'll be weakened. Plus, it would help give a reason for Ness' attack missing besides "He's out of practice").
