What is the name of that type of hat? I was thinking of trying to find one for my dad for his birthday. He is a pretty big Da Vinci fan. I thought it would be a good gift for him.

I think you may find some good results if you search for "medieval flat cap" or "renaissance flat cap" etc.

oh yes! I just learned what that is called a couple weeks ago. Those are princess seams... haven't decided if I like them as far as practicality goes...
