yey, finally the history. Tho there's still some little things and stories like the origin of Pandora but I'll save them later on. But yeah, the Great Utopia was kinda dick and it continued being a dick for hundreds of years.

The Great Utopia is the name the country has before the revolution and war. At that time magic was the main power source and the country had many expeditions of conquest for the neighbouring states which weren't really pleased. The war everyone is talking about happened 300 years ago and lasted somewhat 50 years if I remember right the timeline I made in summer (it got lost, im crying), and after the peace magic in all forms was banned because everyone was a) so sick of it and b) kinda scared the peace wouldn't last.

That period was called the Candle Age and despite the name it was the time of technological and scientifical growth as well as the discrimination of magical creatures. (There were some weird experimentings tho, like creating shadowmen and things like that and the story Shinichi told in Bremen took place in this time). The Candle Age didn't really last afully long before magic was brought back with new ideologies especially in Bremen and other inner-land cities with universities and young radicals. Then again some more remote places (like hamlen) or some elder people have still the "traditional" image of magic and its users being somewhat lesser than the rest but it's kinda uncommon nowadays.

Which is kinda fun since everyone has magic, most creatures just have it too little or are otherwise not interested of using it.

Dunno if there's anything new, I've dropped some hints and facts along the road but maybe it's easier to read here.
