Description
This time, turn for the greatest RPG series of al time to be redesigned in the 70's way with a big focus on the game background: a big wastleand drowning a lone vault dweller and the ghost of the nuclear radiations; no less no more.With the recent rebranding people would tend to consider this universe as a "funny wasteland" playground while the classical opuses were more dark and desperate (even if New Vegas was fantastic with it's dark social view on game story) A little what i tried to show with this cover...

Oh christ this is beautiful. This is so goddamn beautiful. If they ever make a fallout 1 remake or movie, I want this to be the cover, it sets the atmosphere of the game so well.

This would make a brilliant A3 (ish) size matte poster! Your subdued colour use is great, the yellow really plays nicely against the cool blue.

The kerning for the word "Fallout" looks weird... might want to fix it up a bit. Awesome job though!

Wow, man. I love this poster. All that dull, washed-out blue just makes the more vibrant yellow even more striking. Makes me want to play the first game again! Great work.

Aaaaaah but dogmeat is just a companion in fallout 1, and as any of these guys the death is permanent ^^
No kidding i mostly aimed to give the initial feeling of the game start, when the vault dweller faces the wasteland and the light of the sun for the first time...

It's design at it's finest--gives its message directly and opens the door to the imagination without bombarding you with information the player is better off figuring out on his/her own. Well done.

I tried to remain simle but very explainative about the plot and setting, however i hesitated btween the radiation logo and the atomic mushroom ...

As a designer, I'm in love with it - you've done a beautiful job! As a gamer, I'd like to point out that I found the earlier games to be a lot more goofy and funny than the newer ones - although that darkness was perhaps a little more poignant as well. They were very rich games to be sure! In general though, I thought Fallout 2 was the funniest game I've ever played (never played the first one

That's true Fallout 1 & 2 were really unique in the fact you could burst in laughs even in the worst situations, this mix between tragic background and dark humour set up the soul of the game. I thnk it's one of the main reasosn i so much loved these games, and the one i still consider new vegas as the "true" fallout 3...
However as a cover has to aim on the main aspects i focused myself on the wasteland, as fallout 1 was more the introduction opus.
