Haha. Funny that you mention a movie reference. I actually used the cover of the Dirty Dancing DVD as a ref for this pic. But I can see how you might have seen Titanic.

Well, I've only started using the half-version of photoshop, and I prefer Corel Painter, but when I do use PS, I either magic wand select part of the line art and then use a partially transparent and large brush several times over to cause a deep, creeping shadow, on a new layer . But that doesn't always work with my crappy linearts so I might just use the same kind of brush of a new layer and erase what I don't want. Low opacity works well, each stroke progressively giving depth.
Maybe a little fuzzy shadow around the edge might add to the mood but I think I am just tempted to think that without reason, so ignore that.
Still gorgeous, by the by.
