Description
the following is a series of short poetry and flash fiction churning in my mind for some time now.we are our own worst
critics; as artists, as ath-
letes, and as humans.
close enough to touch
far enough to miss.
inspiration is a flighty
mercurial thing, always
dashing joyfully through my
veins, making me feel
like i could fly - but
at the same time, vanishing as
soon as i attempt the
capture, bleeding from blank
pages to an
unknown void.
i wish i didn't
have to leave here; i love it,
but i have to go.
indecision is like
a constant case of
stage fright; you can never
fully resolve your
problem, but can spend hours
agonizing.
nostalgia is like a hand
around your throat; good
luck begging it to release you
just long enough to
speak without bursting
into tears.
lost in the woods at night. i can see a light ahead.
confusion lurks where it used to be clear
and i hardly know what i'm doing here.
meditative music makes an
atmosphere you can almost
inhale; with it comes
the peace of inspiration.
