Original World: Calliope's home world is called Epologisti. It's an extremely technology-oriented world, and though they didn't realize it, the citizens of Epologisti relied heavily on Astral, so when the Great Impact hit, it caused an almost-complete collapse of Epologisti's computer system. In Epologisti, humans have access to a variety of different Phis, short for "physical modification." Some Phis are mandatory and surgically implanted at birth - ports for going online to Epilogisti's network, correcting vision problems, preventing most diseases. Outside of that, anyone who can afford a Phis can get almost anything done to them - the common ones are cheap, but something like getting a flamethrower implanted in your palm would be really expensive. Still, Phis are all the rage in Epologisti, so when the network shut down, it caused a massive loss of life.

Personality: Calliope is a very sweet person, but she never really bought into the Phis fad. In fact, the number on her shoulder (01) indicates that outside of the mandatory Phis, she only got one - true twin telepathy for her twin brother, Orion, who is still in Epologisti. Her lack of Phis is what protected her life when Epologisti's network crashed. Despite her timid nature, Calliope is making an effort to be more outgoing like Orion is. She never used the Epologistian network outside of what is absolutely required. Calliope is completely focused on her one objective - obtaining enough Astral to save Orion. She will do literally anything to acheive this goal. Her devotion to Orion makes her brother her biggest weak point, as she made the decision a long time ago that she is not as important as the people precious to her.

History: Since an early age, Calliope and Orion have been extremely close. Their parents died when they were young and at 15 they moved into their own apartment. Orion, in contrast to Calliope, is extremely popular, with dozens of Phis both common and unique. Calliope's lack of Phis meant she got bullied a lot and called a freak, but Orion always stood up for her - cementing Calliope's devotion to him. But when the Great Impact hit and the network on Epologisti shut down, Orion was reduced to near death without the technological energy he needed to support all of his Phis. Calliope, the only one who was almost completely unaffected by the network's collapse, was forced to put her brother into a coma and hook him up to a machine just barely able to keep him alive. Though it broke her heart, Calliope forced herself not to save anyone else and instead shut down the computers in her home and the homes of the dead, conserving power for Orion. She traveled tirelessly, shutting down anything left on she came across, with the single objective of saving Orion. One day she was kneeling over a corpse, shutting down their transportation vehicle, when she heard a voice. She followed the voice down a dark hallway with a door at the end, and when she opened the door she found herself in Telia. Now she is determined to win Astral for her world and save Orion's life before Epologisti's remaining Astral runs out.

Note: Calliope's headset has two black wires running out of it. These allow her to hook up to anything technological an get online. All of the purple "gems" are ports, with which she can connect to machines. With anything not involving machins, she's kind of an idiot. But she tries, and she's smart and a fast learner.
