i do indeed mean to make this anew. Mainly, it will include the members we've talked about. I know of the Baby DK -> DK jr -> modern DK, but even if you go with Mario = Jumpman, I find it unlikely that the time gaps you make up for an adult modern DK. The dopplegangers seen in the audience of MK is to me just a fact that the kongs are a more wide spread fact than one might initially think.

Oookay, so have I got this right:
Donkey Kong (arcade) - ft Cranky
Donkey Kong Jr (arcade) - ft Cranky's son (DKjr)
Yoshi's Island DS - ft Cranky's Grandson (DKIII)
Super Mario Kart - ft DKjr as the adult kong, with clothed kong in fact being DKIII in younger years?
Mario Tennis 64 - ft same as in SMK?
If so, it could make sense, but seems more convoluted than necessary... IDK.
I had similar thoughts a while back, with the tank top being a staple among young kong. It might be that Diddy/Dixie/Tiny/Kiddy isn't old enough to wear it, or that it is a statement made to stand out a bit more. I do not however think all Dkjr's in the audience need to be linked to the main kongs. There is not really a lot to go on, and it'd be like connecting my family with yours IRL: if we go back far enough we are probably related, but just because we are the same species it doesn't mean the family split is found just two-three generations back.
