No one knows how it happens, why it happens or when it happens but something always triggers and full-demon transformation among the half-demons. Rather it be their life, a topic or something in their DNA, no one knows what triggers the transformation. Calie's has always been the most unpredictable among the half-demon going full-demon.

With her going full-demon, she is no longer a kitsune but it seems her fathers blood triggers and she turns into a wolf-demon instead. Her eyes going red and the whites turn black as well. The eyes usually vary among the half-demons. With Ryu, his eyes turn blue and the white of his eyes go red. He even obtains marks across his face, similar to Kazin but once more it varies among half-demons going full-demon. Calie does not obtain the markings but she does get bloodthirsty.

That is one common trait among those that go from half-to-full, they all become bloodthirsty; they are reduced to basic instincts. Full-demons only lose control during mating season. One common pattern noticed is that half-demons going full-demon when extremely angered or threatened, thus laws are put into place to help prevent the half-demons losing control and medicine is being made to also help. Medicine is also currently being made to help half-demons regain control of their minds when they go full-demon.

Half-demons fight the full-demon transformation, showing that they know it dangerous but to the half-demons, its very much like 'two souls in one body' is how they describe it. They seem to be two different personalities as half-demons state and refer to their full-demon side as a different person entirely.
