Then the series would be anti-climatic. I swear I feel the ending will be ruined if either of them doesn't die by the end of Shippudden, unless a third part is in the works. Not sure how its possible to up the stakes even higher when the most powerful forces (The Tailed Beast, including the 10-Tails) is being used to literally over throw the entire world, forcing EVERY nation to come together to stop it. Unless aliens are involved, I highly doubt a third act could stand up to Shippudden.

An anticlimax isn't a flaw in a story, it's a technique that can be used well and badly like any other, and honestly, if I've just read the last 350 chapters of Naruto, waiting for Sasuke and Naruto to meet up again and they don't end up at least like this, I'll be seriously fucking pissed. P.S. Naruto tops Shippudden easily, this final arc has been rubbish since the beginning.
