I just joined furrypaws.com and decided that I wanted to draw a malamute, since I adopted one on the game, and own 3 in real life *huggles my shasta, ahki, and danali*Anyways, I also wanted to try a new method of coloring fur that was less cartoonish and more realistic. I've been wanting to do some digital realism, but after many failed attempts, I decided I'll ease into and find my own style at realism that is the easiest for me.
Well after all of that thinking crap, I came up with this.

I know what you mean. I had to stop breeding dogs because I couldn't take care of them everyday. It's like having a real pet and it's supposed to be for recreation!

This is very cute, but it doesn't quite look like a malamute to me. More like a husky because of the skinny legs. I'm a Sibe/Malamute nerd. u_u Either way, I think it's cute and very cheerful. It brightens my day!

Yeah, depends on the type of the build of the malamute though. We breed malamutes and ours for some reason have skinny legs like this. not sure why XP anyways, thanks for the comment!
