I'd be impressed just by how well you fit into Saber's character, not just in the costume, but you give of a Regal prescence in these photos! But the Fact that you MADE this costume, and the sword too... Absolutlely stunning. The attention to detail is excellent, and the quality of the costume in it's exact colour tones and gloss on the armour too. The sword is so well done, I'd pay for a copy! You should be proud!

Much kudos. Good job on excalibur and the armor. I've never really cosplayed before but becoming more and more interested. I want to make a Black Rose costume. If you don't mind me asking, what material did you use for the armor?

Thanks! It's commonly called Sintra. It's a thermoplastic you can buy at sign shops, etc.

Wow, an amazing Saber cosplay. Which like others I don't see often. And like many cosplay fans I'm big on the detail of the outfits and the detail on the armor, the sword, and the dress are perfect. Saber Alter would probably require more detail. And if I may ask what did you make the the armor and sword out of?

Thank you! The armor is mostly sintra and some craft foam. Excalibur is balsa wood

It's not often I see a good Saber cosplay - infact, I think I've never seen a good one before. Either their swords are too big, their armor patterns are wrong, their hairstyles are wrong, the size of their dresses are off and so on.
But yours: Perfect!
You even made sure to add Saber's wispy hair-tuft to your wig

I'm very particular about trying to get things in scale, like in the case of the sword...lots of measuring over and over so it would fit with my height. Sometimes I manage it, sometimes not, but I was really happy with this project over all, so I am very glad to hear feedback like that since it was something important to me when working on this.

Yeah, I like the paint results because I didn't end up looking like tin can, but it was still shiney. The paint was recommended to me by ~honnou and it's awesome.

That's a really long and complicated answer. Probably the longest explanation I could give for ever picking a cosplay. Short answer would be,
I liked Saber, despite not liking most of FSN's cast of characters. Saber was amusing to me because, like most characters people end up favoring, I could see similar traits between her and I. I try to generally pick costumes I feel I have a suitable look for and characters I personally find appealing. I think I will continue to make more of Saber's costumes because both of those requirements are met in my mind.
There are a couple other reasons I chose this costume, but I hope it suffices to say it was for the challenge of making the armor and looking the part.

then at AX u seem to be too busy being blobbed by ppl in south hall so didnt bother to kidnap u.

I'm glad you didn't try to shoot that costume at AX, tbh. It was a mess. I put it on in the world's tiniest lady's room at the convention hall, and it was messed up something fierce. I got swamped in that hall and was thinking 'cant even smile...this hall is way too hot D:' so I was taking bad pictures that whole day. Wasn't feeling it, and changed out of it quick LOL
I have to remake the side panels that melted, so maybe when I wear it again next year I will bug you for pictures

Thanks. I think it is, and what isn't fixable I'm just going to see as a chance to make better.
The whole thing had problems with regard to how it affixed to me, so I'm going to be improving that some, and making it sturdier.
