Spanish madness goes on. This is the drawing that I had left the hints for. I had to redo it completely because first I used the colors that I saw during the sunset in Málaga as inspiration, and the drawing appeared too purple and I couldn't push it back to being aesthetically pleasing. Then I decided to base my drawing off the sunrise I saw on a plane, and it worked like miracle. What time did it take? *checks atm* 2 hours + approximately 30 minutes of sketching and outlining. 2.5 hours. It flew like nothing. Color therapy really is magic!
The drawing is inspired by my trip to Málaga and 'Into the Surf' by Foals. Foals are amazing and I associate their music with Spain. And this song... DANG IT'S LIKE I'M TRIPPING IN SOME VAPORWAVE MAGIC I'M TELLING YOU IT'S AN AMAZING SONG AAAAA
Naturally I listened to this song 24/7 in Andalusia.
This is Ciera! I love her and she is gorgeous. I think she is one of my best designed characters. You may have read in her reference that she's a superior flyer. Well, here she is in her full glory, literally swimming in those baby pink clouds. Heck it gives me so many summer vibes woah
A quick headcanon: in my AU the Pegasi are not allowed to fly higher than around 6000 meters because that would threaten the air traffic. Since pegasi are larger and heavier than birds and therefore get tired easily when flying (imagine running long distances at high speed) aviation is in a huge demand even for them, and they always use airplanes to travel. Pegasi are also not allowed to fly anywhere near the airports to minimize the accidents. So yeah, flying is more like a sport for the pegasi. So no wonder that I drew a small airplane near Ciera. I just live for aviation...

Yes! I was deeply inspired by that one. I mean it's not technically Spanish because it was taken when we took off the ground so it's somewhere above western Russia or Belarus, but it has this amazing southern/warm vibe to it. I brainstormed a bit and went for that one as my main inspiration!

This is just such an amazing picture! Ceira design is really cool and has such a lovely colour palette that matches with warm pinks and purples so well.
This is an interesting rule but yet it sounds completely real, i wonder how many pegasi have been hit by a plane . . And how scary it would be for the passengers or pilots.

It can end way worse as the pegasus may be sucked into an engine and that would cause a catastrophe... an airplane is capable of flying with only one engine though, but what if there are no airports nearby? So yeah, they all must obey the rules xD

Imagine how bad that would be for an airplane!! Like sure the pegasus would end up dead, but they can be sucked into an engine and that would end up even worse D: So they follow the rules very strictly.
(just a thought - my mom once told me that a technician got sucked up into an engine and the largest piece was like 10 centimeters wide??)

I can’t say it happens all the time. All airports have some very advanced systems of scaring away the birds nowadays. Like the airport where my parents work at has this thing when each time a plane lands there are some very loud noises mimicking the eagles’ screech that scare off the smaller birds. They have many more precautions actually this is just the one that came to my mind. Thank god it all works out!
Definitely xD although this is the story my parents used to scare me with as a child.

There's an itty bitty airport behind a grocery store and sometimes people skydive from it! I'm always afraid their parachutes will get sucked into the engines XD
