This artwork explores our modern day perception of violence. Most people are complicit in violence in some way, but never have to actually face the violence. Governments wage war in far distant lands on behalf of its citizens, and some people eat meat three times a day without ever killing an animal. On the other hand, media (especially film and gaming industries) are desensitizing and romanticizing violence.

I would like people to question their perception of violence when looking at this. The right hand section of the portrait was photoshopped using stock images of actual dead people.
