Description Back on my Studio Ghibli Grind, made Howl, Sophie, and Calcifer from Hayao Miyazaki's "Howl's Moving Castle." Such a lovely story, and great characters. Made entirely of polymer clay, painted with arcylics, and glazed. Sophie and Howl stand a little over an inch tall, Calcifer is a little under an inch. Trying something different with how I make the hair. Hmm, I don't know what do you guys think?

Thanks so much for looking

Aw, so precious! <3
I love how they look. ^_^
What kind of polymer clay and glaze do you use?

Thanks, I'm glad you think so!! I use a mix of Sculpey 3 and Fimo soft. I prefer Fimo though. Sculpey is way too brittle and cracks too easily. As for glaze, triple thick is my favorite, it can get really tacky though, I'm in the market for a better glaze. Have any suggestions?

Yeah, I use Sculpey for my polymer clay figurines. I haven't tried Fimo yet. Maybe I'll try it sometime.
As for glaze, I use the Sculpey brand. It is a bit on the expensive side considering how small the bottle is. But, it doesn't get sticky like some other glazes I've used before. Also, it's not very lustrous but it adds a decent amount of shine to the clay.
I hope that was somewhat helpful and thank you for the response. ^_^

I do love Sculpey's Premo brand. That clay is excellent. I've never tired Sculpey's glaze, I've heard good and bad things about it, and yes it's a little pricey. I'll give it a try one of these days. Thanks so for the suggestion!
