No chance sorry. I bought the other one 'cause I was afraid the first as it was a paperback would get broken. It didn't but I still like to have a hardcover. And maybe I'll start a collection... Gaston's is the original and it means to me a lot (saved my life really), but Susan's has such a rich language but then again leaves very little open. They are too different to compare. It wouldn't be fair. But lets just say I think Susan's is more like fanfiction, amazingly beautiful and good fanfiction but if I want to read a 'historybook' of Erik I choose Leroux. It leaves many things open and there for is more mysterious. If you want to read Leroux's POTO in English Wolf's Essential Phantom of the opera is quite good and has a lot of information. So I like them both equally, but if I had to choose as I am a Phantom(book)-fan I might choose the original one just 'cause it's original. I have Leroux's phantom in Finnish and two English as one of them is Wolf's translation. So 3 The Phantom of the operas by Leroux beside my two Kay's. Oh, and it's possible to buy Kay's Phantom from the internet. I bet you can find it if you Google; Susan Kay Phantom.

I'm glad. Kay's Phantom is very good. I simply love everything in it. It's so powerful but so fragile at the same time, like Erik. And the language! It's like... a poem... or maybe it has a secret music in it that one can only feel but not hear. If you are to buy it it's worth every penny... I have two...
