thank you!,it's odd but i've already replied to this note,but it's not been removed,so i'll repeat my reply.
the colour is a bit dark,and i did try to make it more defined,but the gradient i used would only go so far,and when brightened lost it's richness,so i left it as it is.the render time(being a fractal),is determined by the software and i cannot control that,so sometimes i just have to take the result i can get.

Yes, indeed, sometimes you can't get it brighter, may be the vibrancy?

unfortunately the vibracy setting in jwildfire (which i used for this fractal),works a bit differently to chaotica so i don't think that's the solution.i've just put the original blue shell through gimp and posted the rsult as chocolate shell,i think it looks quite good now,hope you like it!
