Hi Marika, Great feat. I never quite understood whats the point of photo realism, probably because I am photographer. Could you point me to a good text explaining the approach / context (or whats the point of it, if you like)? I am sure there is some, and I am not the first to ask that question. Thanks ! GF

Well, I must admit that I have never thought about photo realism in drawing... I think that the point is to develop variety of skills needed for reflecting reality. I see my old works and it's clear that my drawings are better and better, it is so inspiring! In my opinion realistic works are one of the most effective, I love to hear comments like 'I thought it is a photo!'. But there is the other side of it. I am not the best at drawing from imagination. Creating everything from scratch is more difficult and closer to real art. I wouldn't say that I am an artist

Never mind being an artist or not. Even the top notch guys use photos, eg in protraits to get perspective and so on right or is the subject is not available all the time. So just say u r one! Seeing one self is of course gratifying, and I like to say and see that with my stuff too. So yep I will go around andtry and find a bit more on photorealism. Best GF

well, I guess it is, but there are so many math books, and philosophy books around. So I guess someone put things together on photorealism too.
