The colors and composition are amazing, but there's some strange haloing around the rocks... Did you put several photos together to make this HDR?

no, it's not even an hdr image... you are not familiar with long exposure photography?

I am, but because of the haloing and some of the rocks etc were blurry, I assumed you took several photos like an HDR and merged them together. Perhaps I was seeing some camera shake from wind?

no, it wasn't windy and rocks are perfectly sharp

The rocks closest to the camera are great. I was talking about the cliff up at the top where the haloing occurs. It's a good pic anyhow, I had just wondered if it was stitched together, but you answered the question.

the sky came out like that because sun rays were shining through the clouds and with a graduated nd filter
