Wow! This is a very dynamic image, well executed and processed. It captures the movement of the waves very well and I truly enjoy it.

As in "Shine", the exposure really has a profound effect on the image. 1.3 seconds captures the movement of the waves very well, and brings a dynamic feel to the image. The slight tilt also does this very well. I really like the processing in this image. I can't put my foot on exactly what it is, but I like it.

Any critiques on this would really just be nitpicks, and here they are. I would have angled the camera slightly to the right to capture the water a bit more, as well as perhaps utilizing some HDR to reduce the blown-out highlights on the clouds.

All in all, this is a very dynamic image and is executed impeccably. You've earned a fave from me. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Thank you for the critique, and great ratings
The image is not hdr, it was done with the black card
technique, but in this particular picture i was using my
hand to cover the area of the clouds (because the picture would have been blown out if i didn't do that, and only thing to get it not blown out is hdr processing).
For the first few times it was or too quick or too slow, and this one
came out just perfectly
I am fascinated with long exposers for landscape photography, and
particularly wave movements.
And now i have finally ordered a neutral density filter, and i'm so excited
because of that I bet my upcoming pictures with the nd filter are going to be
flawless

Hmm... I've never heard of black card photography before. Sounds very interesting.

Very nice photo. I love how you captured the water. My only critique is that the horizon is not level. My eye isn't quite sure where to go.

yes, i'm aware of that, but was so excited for that capture that i didn't pay attention to the horizontal line (which can easily be straightened on adobe photoshop). Thanks

It is rare that I comment, but since you asked for a critique, there is one thing that caught my eye almost immediately, and that is the water line is not straight. I do like the muted colours all the same, nice work.

There's nothing that I don't love about this shot.

These rocks seem to be floating on air. I like when the front water is shallow and clear and darkens and deepens in the background.
But, I like colours *shrug* So I would have enhanced the deeper tones of blue a bit more, or, at least tried to.
