Description

Spyro's first three villains are grouped together. Amusingly, their appearance order can also indicate their overall threat level.

Gnasty Gnorc: The least threatening Spyro villain, as his grudge against dragons was more out of spite (being treated poorly, and getting banished to the Dragon Junkyard). And while he does have a spell that can turn dragons into crystal statues, it can easily be reversed, and it apparently has no effect on dragons that are protected by dragonflies. Lastly, in terms of combat, despite his physical appearance, he's more about brains than brute force, and can end up being brushed aside by a few fire breaths.
Ripto: A villain who's a bit more of a threat in that he not only has a distaste for dragons, but he's also a power-hungry tyrant who attempts to conquer kingdoms for his own personal gain. He's also much more resilient in battle than Gnasty Gnorc, and has a wider variety of magic spells to use.
Sorceress: Easily the most threatening villain to Spyro and his clan, as her desire to gain immortality involved stripping dragons of their wings (and maybe Crush's wings as well). She's also highly tyrannical, and will go so far as to kill innocent people to achieve her goals.
