VELOCIRAPTOR. movie design - paleoartVelociraptor in the Jurassic Park saga maintains the name of an asian dromaeosaur, but its design for the movie was mostly based on the american relative Deinonychus, although the movie design is still larger than the real animal. Not long after the movie came out, Utahraptor was discovered, which happened to be even larger than the movie’s ¨raptors¨. reconstructions based on the skeletal drawings by Scott Hartman
