Description
Connections: Both were once ordinary schoolgirls who were granted powers drawn from their own souls in the form of crystalised gemstones by an alien with the appearance of a cat who sought to save the universe (albeit one for far more altruistic reasons than the other) (Luna and Kyubey respectively). They would fend off monsters of the night that were people who were corrupted alongside fellow magical girls from their or surrounding schools (Usagi with the Sailor Senshi and Madoka with the Holy Quintlet). And by the end of their stories, they would evolve into goddesses as a result of their love. Also, it’s a magical girl who’s series helped pioneer the genre VS a magical girl who’s series helped revolutionize the genre.
Not my preferred for Madoka Kaname (That would be Wadanohara), but Sailor Moon is a very based choice for Madoka Kaname imo. I'd rather let Death battle take care of Pegasus Seiya vs Sailor Moon, because that one is a bigger legacy and the same can be said with Madoka Kaname vs Reimu Hakurei. For Death battle, I'd love for Madoka vs Reimu to happen. For AnimationRewind, I'd like Rewind to do either Madoka vs Wadanohara or Sailor Moon especially since I've been wanting Rewind to do more Madoka Magica fights
